Whereas I rejoiced in the loss of our futon, I'm not quite as happy about our temporarily having to move the bar stools out of the dining room. Here's why:
Tuesday I had the awesome opportunity to take the gals down to New Braunfels to spend the day. We left at 9AM, and headed straight for the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, located midway between New Braunfels and San Antonio. It was AMAZING. Seriously, it far surpassed by expectations. I could tell you all about it, but why not see for yourself!
This sign made me crack up:
You learn something new everyday:
Ava thought the zebras were hysterical:
So, that little item on the ground behind us? That's our Kai-Lan book. Oops.
Afterwards, in case that wasn't enough for a full day of fun, we headed over to the New Braunfels Children's Museum (aka McKenna Children's Museum). Austin has an awesome Children's Museum - don't get me wrong - but this one was EVEN BETTER! I will definitely be going back!
(As an amusing side note, when Ava was "grocery shopping", she bypassed the dairy section entirely! haha)
Geez. I'm tired just looking at these again! Hope everyone else is having as fun of a week!
Last week, in the midst of my productive frenzy, I found my wedding shoes!! In my defense, I kind of had to! My dress came in six weeks early and I needed to have my shoes to take to my fitting!!!!!! AHHHHHHHH!
Anyhow, here they are!
I know those last two pictures really suck. The full length was in the room where Ava was napping, and so instead of having decent lighting, I was trying to balance in 4.5" heels while trying to hold the blinds with one hand and the camera in the other. FAIL.
The pictures don't do them justice - I LOVE them! Simple, elegant and yet with a bit of flair!
