Not Just For Baby Food!
As I mentioned earlier this week, D got me an electronic steamer as part of my Mother's Day gift, as I needed one in order to start making Ava's baby food in a couple months. After reading the manual, and seeing the BAJILLIONS of uses, though, I decided to make last night's dinner in it. Check it out:
Lemon pepper salmon, steamed asparagus, broccoli and sweet potatoes and roasted garlic and olive oil wheat couscous. Delish, and very healthy! The best part - the entire dinner took 25 minutes with minimal supervision!!!
I HIGHLY recommend the Hamilton Beach programmable electronic steamer! We found it for $29.88 at Walmart, but on sale for $17. Run, don't walk friends!!!

Wow! That's a great price and a yummy looking dinner! I may have to go into the place I swore I would never step foot into again...Walmart! The one here is horrible but I might have to make an exception.
ReplyDeleteAnd hooray for swim lessons! I can't wait to take Jack. I found a lot of places that start at 3 months, which does seem a bit early. This is going to be a very fun Summer!
I love this idea -- I'm planning to make Asher's baby food and a big steamer would be really handy. If it cooks me dinner too, bonus!
ReplyDeleteI definitely need to look into investing in this!!! My Husband & I are trying to eat healthier and this would definitely help. And as far as the baby food making... steam it, then process it?? :) Do you happen to have any resources you are using to make the food? I am interested!!
