As I mentioned the other day in my two-year wrap-up post about Ava, she's gotten increasingly picky lately. My child who would once eat fruits and veggies until the cows come home is now falling into the "kid food" trap, which is only being compounded by her inability to eat dairy.
I was getting really frustrated, and then, something awesome happened. One of the gifts Ava received at her birthday party was a plate called Ms. Food Face, and it is solving some of this frustration for us big time!
The plate consists of a plain face without hair, and you can use food to make it look however you'd like. This is one time that playing with your food is a good thing! Today we used it twice, and we made both a Marilyn Monroe lookalike with scrambled eggs as hair (she had thirds!), as well as the little lamb below. She cleaned her plate!
If your little ones are going through something similar, I highly recommend Ms. Food Face, as long as you don't mind a bit of playing with your food and are even remotely creative! We love it!
For anyone interested, here's the link. Also, for any local Austinites, you can buy Ms. Food Face at both Terra Toys and Toy Joy :)
Happy eating!
That is a great little plate and I will be purchasing soon!! Maybe it will help get B to eat veggies & fruits! thanks for the tip!
