Meet Jasper.

So many things have gone on in the past week and a half, from a trip to see my in-laws for Thanksgiving, a subsequent trip to the Houston Zoo, and finishing up Christmas shopping to ready the house for decorating. Today, though, I want to share with you our newest family member, Jasper!

Jasper is a 3-month-old shorthaired kitten that we adopted this past Saturday! He's 2.13 pounds of pure love and cuteness, and best of all, he's so, so tolerant of the kiddos:

Ava, Jack and I are smitten with him, and my husband says he's a good cat, but still remains a dog person :) He was born with a defect where his eyelashes grew into his right eye rather than outwards, so he had to have part of his lid removed, making him look permanently surprised. So stinkin' cute. He loves to snuggle, is neutered already, up to date on shots, and - most importantly - FIV/FeLV negative, which was so, so important to us after losing Spencer to FIV. He had a full vet workup this morning and is in great health. We're so excited to have Jasper join our family!
