Oh yeah!

She's definitely, 100%, paint-the-room-pink and toss-the-receipts girl, according to both techs during my 3D/4D ultrasound (what's the difference, BTW, between 3D & 4D?!).

On another joyous note, and I'm not just saying this because I'm her oh-so-biased mother, but she's beautiful. She looked very peaceful and delicate, and was extremely responsive the entire time. The techs also commended me on my superior water drinking habits since there was a great amount of fluid and it made the pics very clear and easy to get. We got a great take-home DVD and around 40 photographs on a disc - can't wait to show D! He didn't go since he thought it was 'creepy', but he's interested now :) She was yawning up a storm, since it was in the middle of her usual nap period, and we got a nice shot of her giving a little 'grin', yawning, and stretching her arms and rubbing her still-closed eyes. So cute!

We may opt not to share any of the photos, since we've already announced her sex and taken the biggest surprise out of her birth. We're also considering not sharing her name, but both are still under review...we'll see. I'm feeling a bit stingy with her lately, especially knowing that in a few months when she's born I'm going to be tossed by the wayside and everyone's going to want to hold her and touch her, and I'm not really that kind of a person that wants to share their new baby with the world!

  1. I'm so glad you got in for a free one! That's awesome! What a relief to have the "girl confirmation" -- I think that would worry me too. My little guy wasn't shy at all, so I'm confident in his "boy-ness." :o)

  2. Isn't the 3-D (and I guess 4-D) ultrasound so cool? We got our free ultrasound today, too, and it was just amazing. That's so cute that your little one yawned! Mine was sound asleep for the first part, then woke up a little bit for the second part but was still feeling pretty groggy. No yawns for us, though. :(

Good luck in the rest of your pregnancy!

  3. I'm getting my 3d/4d ultrasound on October 3rd. I can't wait! The difference between 3d and 4d is that 4d involves movement and time. (The DVD is 4d. The pictures are 3d.) Get it? :-) Congrats by the way!

  4. Haha hun, if she's as pretty as you say (and they all are!) you won't have any choice in the sharing her with the world part.

Marianne still stops people dead in thier tracks, and I get to witness them melting into a puddle of goo and go, "Oh how CUTE...how ADORABLE...how old is she?!!!"

We went the planetarium with her last Friday...and she stopped women dead in their tracks...the planetarium ticket ladies spent a good solid 10 minutes cooing over her.

This happens EVERYWHERE I go, I kid you not. It makes me a tad nervous sometimes, actually.

Also I notice lots of people seem to have a preference for girl babies...I don't know what it is, but I get lots more coos over her cause she's a girl than I've seen for boys...it might just be up here, we seem to have a plethora of baby boys and not so many girls.

Anyway...you enjoy her...soon she'll be born, and before you know it, she'll be outgrowing most of her clothes and diapers, hehe.

  5. How exciting! Congratulations on the baby girl! It must be so awesome to see your baby in 3D! I wish I could have gotten one with at least one of my three!
