Follow Me, Chickadee Friday!

Good morning everyone!

Another edition of Follow Me, Chickadee, Friday in the works! If you want to play along, see the guidelines below :)

If you're new here, I hope you find something that keeps you coming back. Me in a nutshell: I'm a 26-year-old mama to Ava, 7 months, as well as girlfriend (one of these days that'll change to fiancée, but that's another story for another day!) to D. I'm also a full-time nanny, a part-time writer, and attempting to be a gardener, baby-food maker, activist - just trying to set a good example for my sweet baby girl. Feel free to weigh in on Halloween costumes below, AND let me know if you have any good ideas for an Elmer the Patchwork Elephant themed first birthday party!!!
I hope to see you back again!

The Life of a Sippy Cup Mom!, Mannland5 , The Adventures of Goober Grape and Monkey Man and Stash Mama have teamed up to cohost Follow Me, Chickadee Fridays! Each week, simply stop by at any of these four blogs for a chance to link up and meet new and exciting bloggers out on the interwebz!
All we ask is that you follow a few simple guidelines:
Add a main link to your blog each week (Linky will open every Thursday night at 11 p.m. EST and close at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday mornings EST).
Follow the first four blogs in the # 1, 2, 3, 4 spots.
Visit the blog above and below your listing and leave a *meaningful* comment. Something nice and shiney to make them smile. But make sure to tell them that you found them from Follow Me, Chickadee!
You don't have to follow every blog that follows you...but make sure that you follow the blogs that really interest you!
If you want to put the blog hop code or the Chickadee button on your Friday post on your blog, we welcome it!
Family friendly sites ONLY. The linky list will be monitored and anything not family friendly *will* be deleted. We don't want to see random naughty bits or something that would make our families cringe.

  2. So I was looking around online while bored at work and found some info for you and a couple of links. Hope this helps a little:

Elmer the Patchwork Elephant Party Ideas

    1. Of course, create an Elmer the Patchwork Elephant Invitaiton by cutting out an elephant shape and having your child color the cutout in a patchwork of colors. On the reverse side, write your part details.
    2. For your party decorations, it’s all about a patchwork of color.  Use bright, bold colors for your party balloons, streamers, tableware.
    3. Place a large Elmer the Patchwork Elephant on your front door welcoming the guests to your party.
    4. Upon arrival, have the kids create their own Elmer the Patchwork Elephant on a large white sheet using finger paint.  Hang up this Elmer Tapestry after it is completed for an additional party decoration.
    5. Patchwork Hunt. Send everyone on a hunt for colorful tokens.  Give them 2 minutes to find as many as they can and hand out prizes when the time is up.
    6. For your party menu, use an Elephant cookie cutter to cut out sandwiches, gelatin Jigglers, and brownies. Serve Elmer Elephant Trail Mix with colorful chocolate candies mixed into the granola.

Amazon has all the Elmer merchandise you could want.
Another good site for Elmer merchandise is http://www.littlesunflowers.com/elmer-the-elephant-m-67.html
